Catalans will play in the Super League Grand Final for the first time in their history next weekend, after ending Hull Kingston Rovers’ own hopes of a maiden Old Trafford appearance in the process.

The league leaders, undoubtedly the best side in the competition this season, will line up in the Grand Final for the first time following a performance that underlined the superiority they have held over many of their rivals in 2021. Steve McNamara’s side were, in the end, too good for a Rovers side who have valiantly fought their way to the semi-finals, despite being tipped to struggle against relegation at the beginning of the season.
